The power of the users’ group

The power of the users' group

Recently in an online users group forum for an AMS provider, a poster asked a question about a fairly complex topic. The poster received multiple replies that pointed her toward a solution. She then posted:

"Thank you everyone for the insights. I know why I rely more on this group than on support from [the AMS provider] for getting answers and ideas."

This is the power of the users group. It is why I always strongly recommend to my clients that they become active in the users group of their AMS provider.

What if your AMS provider doesn't have a users group? Then start one yourself! (Click here to learn how!)

The thing about users groups is that they are...associations. They are designed to do exactly what most (all?) associations are designed to do: bring together like-minded people to address similar challenges. As association executives we know the power of associations; the same power is available to you in your AMS users group.

If your AMS provider has a users group, you should be active in it. And if they don't have one, you should start one yourself!
