Take advantage of your vendor's training programs

I wrote recently about one vendor who provides free training to new employees. It’s a brilliant idea that all vendors should follow.

But what about long-standing employees who just need a training touch up? This is where you need to take advantage of the training options your vendor provides.

For example, many (though not all) of the AMS vendors serving associations now have on-demand training available to their customers. These are pre-recorded videos that customers can access at any time, to learn about a specific area or functionality of the AMS.

In addition to on-demand training, many AMS vendors also provide training options (for a fee) to their customers. These could be set training programs, or customized programs.

In either case, check with your vendor to see what kind of training options they have available, and be sure you budget for additional training every year.
