The latest product to be added to the large list of companies serving the association market is Membersuite. Membersuite is headed up by Andrew Ryan, who has a long history of software development in the association market.
I’ve had a chance to see a demo of the new product, and at first blush, I’m very pleased with what I see. The interface is very user friendly, and some of the functionality is very impressive. Membersuite is being offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product and potential users can sign up for a free 14-day demo.
Some of the features I like include:
- the ability to create fields and even complete database entities, and to be able to modify screens as needed.
- the ability to program process workflows that allow each client to customize database triggers (which means you can make the database do more work for you).
- the ability to set up validation rules for data entry on distinct fields.
While I’ve seen this kind of functionality in other systems, having this much functionality in a SaaS product is fairly unique, so I’m cautiously optimistic about this product.
More competition in the market is always good for consumers, so I’m happy to see such a strong offering being added to the AMS marketing mix.
