New AMS Vendor Enters the Market

The latest product to be added to the large list of companies serving the association market is Membersuite. Membersuite is headed up by Andrew Ryan, who has a long history of software development in the association market.

I’ve had a chance to see a demo of the new product, and at first blush, I’m very pleased with what I see. The interface is very user friendly, and some of the functionality is very impressive. Membersuite is being offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product and potential users can sign up for a free 14-day demo.

Some of the features I like include:

  • the ability to create fields and even complete database entities, and to be able to modify screens as needed.
  • the ability to program process workflows that allow each client to customize database triggers (which means you can make the database do more work for you).
  • the ability to set up validation rules for data entry on distinct fields.
While I’ve seen this kind of functionality in other systems, having this much functionality in a SaaS product is fairly unique, so I’m cautiously optimistic about this product.
More competition in the market is always good for consumers, so I’m happy to see such a strong offering being added to the AMS marketing mix.
