Improving transparency

In my last blog post I wrote about Protech’s efforts to improve transparency into their company, an effort that I applaud. One of my favorite examples of transparency comes from another company serving the association market, 20twenty Strategic Consulting.

Each quarter, Rob Miller, executive vice president of 20twenty, sends a short “state of the company” (my words) email to customers and other interested parties (like me!). In the email, Rob outlines any new services or products 20twenty is offering, new projects and/or clients they have taken on, and any other new significant to 20twenty’s operations.

I’ve told Rob how much I like the newsletter, because it gives a nice, quick look at how 20twenty is doing and keeps me informed of the kinds of services they are offering the market. I wish more vendors (especially AMS vendors) would follow 20twenty’s lead and send regular updates.
