I don’t mean to sound harsh, but the truth is, when it comes to data management, your association is probably a lot like most other associations. You probably manage membership, meetings, committees, product sales, and so on.

I’ve written before about how associations should NOT be in the business of developing their own software. That’s because for the vast majority of associations, an off-the-shelf system is the better choice. Because, let’s face it, you’re not special (when it comes to data management!).
