It’s about process

It's about process

I'm in the midst of adding an AI agent to my website that will allow visitors to query all of the content I've created over the past quarter century. I asked the agent what my most common themes have been, and one of the answers I received was "business process."

This doesn't surprise me. Because the reality is, the one thing we probably have the most control over is our actual business processes. HOW we do things may be constrained by the software, but WHAT we choose to do is often completely up to us.

Often when I work with clients I discover that they're doing a lot of work that's unnecessary or of little value. There are lots of reasons for why this happens, but the important thing is to recognize when it's happening and to make changes once you know it.

So look around your organization. What things are you doing that could be done more efficiently and effectively? And maybe even better, what things are you doing that you could stop doing entirely?
