Does your AMS support your mission?

Have you ever consciously considered how your AMS is supporting your organization’s mission? You should, and it should.

Part of the mission statement for one of my clients reads “To connect and convene senior executives from across the industry to create meaningful cross-sector relationships…”  In other words, part of their mission is connecting people within their broader industry, across different sectors within that industry.

So as they search for a new AMS, they’re making sure the AMS can help them do this (e.g., by being able to track sector data, being able to support online communities, etc.). This will help them facilitate the connections their members seek.

So look at your mission right now. Does your AMS support every aspect of it? And if it doesn’t, why not?
